This page explains how to request the deletion of your CertiPix account, which data is erased, which may be retained for legal obligations, and within what timeframe your request is processed.

How to request deletion

In accordance with Article 17 of the GDPR and the requirements of the app stores, you can request the erasure of your account and the personal data attached to it.

Send your request by email

Send your request to contact@certipix.co with the subject CertiPix account deletion request.

To speed up processing, send the request from the email address associated with the account concerned.

Include the useful information

  • The email address attached to the account.
  • Where applicable, any detail useful to identify your account.
  • If needed, a response to an identity-verification request limited to what is strictly necessary for processing.

Processing and confirmation

The request is processed within a maximum of 30 days of receipt. A confirmation is sent to you by email once the erasure is complete or, if necessary, if some data must be retained for legal reasons.

What is deleted, and what may be retained

The goal is the effective erasure of the data attached to your account, subject to applicable legal, accounting or security obligations.

Data deleted

  • Account information: email address, display name, account settings and authentication data stored for the service.
  • Photos attached to the account: photos saved in your user space on the CertiPix servers.
  • Associated fingerprints and signatures: technical elements linked to your content when directly attached to your user account.
  • Request links: active, expired or disabled links, as well as the data associated with those requests when they relate to your account.
  • Account usage history: quotas, statistics and internal traces directly linked to your user space, subject to the exceptions opposite.

Data that may be retained

Some data may be retained beyond deletion, in accordance with Article 17.3 of the GDPR.

  • Billing: invoices and accounting records, where a paid subscription existed, retained for the legally required period.
  • Security logs: limited and proportionate technical logs, where necessary to prevent abuse, ensure security or defend rights.
  • Proof the request was handled: minimal information demonstrating that a GDPR request was received and processed correctly.

Verification and security

To protect users against fraudulent requests, CertiPix may ask for reasonable verification before deletion when the request is not sent from the account's email address or when identification is uncertain.

  • The verification requested is limited to what is strictly necessary.
  • No additional information is requested without a reason related to processing.
  • The final response is sent to the address used for the request or to the address attached to the account when relevant.

Your other rights

Account deletion is only one of the rights provided by the GDPR.

  • You can request access to your data or its rectification.
  • You can request restriction of processing or object to it, in the cases provided by law.
  • You can read the privacy policy for more details.
  • You can lodge a complaint with the CNIL if you believe your rights are not respected: www.cnil.fr.
